Department Overview:
The Corporate broking team acts as a company’s prime equity strategic advisor and main interface with markets and investors. It provides strategic advice on market communications, capital structure issues, equity market perspectives on M&A transactions, investor feedback from liaising directly with top-of-the-register shareholders, assists with regulatory matters including UKLA sponsor services for certain transactions and with other practical matters (e.g. press releases, reports).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of corporate broking dialogue with clients and targets
- Assist in the origination and day to day execution of deal activity across Equity Capital Markets transactions
- Ensure quality and timely preparation of all materials required for deal preparation
Marketing
• Assist with presentation preparations and pitches;
• Perform background industry and company research, synthesising; information from diverse sources;
• Interact with internal parties in both marketing and execution
• Track developments in the market;
Execution
• Assist Analysts in performing accurate financial analysis and develop quantitative models
Regulation
• Ensure that all regulatory and commercial training is completed on time and refreshed as required;
• Responsible for adherence to the Bank’s corporate policies, to its internal Compliance regulations as well as to appropriate external Regulators
Skills & Experience Required:
- Degree from a top tier University
- Sound judgement and analytical skills;
- Strong proficiency in powerpoint and slides design
- Highly developed organisational skills;
- Quick leaner
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to different situations;
- Excellent interpersonal skills
