Work Environment : Within BNP Paribas’ CIB division, Debt Markets EMEA gathers a group of c. 200 people located in 2 main hubs, London and Paris, as well as in Frankfurt, Munich, Brussels, Milan and Madrid. Debt Markets EMEA regroups Leveraged Finance (Financial Sponsors and Corporates related) and Investment Grade Finance, both loans and bonds.

Credit & Portfolio Management team is a pan-European team in charge of a portfolio of LBO deals,

from mid-cap to large-cap. In the Paris office, the apprentice will assist Credit & Portfolio Management team in analyzing and monitoring c.50 LBO Portfolio Companies and in the execution of related transactions (amendments, add-on financings). He/she may also contribute to tasks linked to Leveraged Finance Origination for transactions related to portfolio companies as the need arises.

Main activities:

Participation in the analysis and monitoring of companies within the French LBO Portfolio through the contribution to internal credit papers and to presentations aiming at analysing sector risks, companies’ and peers’ financial performance, leverage level, follow-up of the debt quotations on the secondary market.

Contribution to Annual Credit Review through the preparation of market studies including competitive position (industry research, peers analysis, M&A research), financial and counterparty risk analysis, financial projections modelling.

Contribution to Quarterly Review / Watchlist Review by updating the internal monitoring tool (performance analysis, business & transaction description, current trading figures and financial ratios).

Contribution to transactions related to LBO portfolio companies (amendments, add-on,refinancing, and, as the need arises, new LBO transaction) notably through participation to the preparation of pitches to client and of internal credit papers.

Contribution to the preparation of internal presentations/statistics related to the Portfolio Management activity.

Profile:

- Business School / University with major in Finance

- Graduate / MA / Msc / GED / Post Graduate Degree / MBA / PhD

- Experience (i.e. long internship min 6 months) in finance, investment banking, private equity,

audit or transaction services
