Business Area/Department Overview

The Sustainability Graduate Programme is a learning opportunity that allows you to expand your knowledge and expertise to make a real impact in sustainable finance. Our Graduate Programme are the best way to develop your skills and leadership through responsible assignments.

This role consists of an 18 month rotational path of three six month rotations across the CIB sustainability ecosystem with one rotation which may be overseas.

Job Purpose

Sustainability is a key pillar of BNP Paribas’ GTS 2025 plan. Within this ambition, the business lines of the bank have a key role to play integrating the Group’s sustainable finance solutions with our clients and products.

For your first rotation, you will join Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC), a global coverage group specializing in the Financial Institutions sector. FIC aims to build long-term relationships with key clients and gain insight into client strategy and targets to provide original and integrated ideas and solutions.

One of the key challenges of today's transition to a low carbon economy is also to mobilise private side capital into the new economic value chain of low carbon. The Private Capital Practice and the Sustainability team of FIC have hence merged to enable the best synergies across private capital allocation and sustainable investment support to our FI clients.

As part of the FIC Sustainability, and Private Capital Practice team, you will:

  • Build a deep understanding of all institutional investor types and their approach to private capital and sustainable investing
  • Help uncover and map, solutions, and structuring opportunities across the bank as well as institutional clients’ strategies, key stakeholders, investment criteria and needs globally
  • Contributing to the Bank’s sustainable finance targets and objectives, including but not limited to supporting our Financial Institution client’s capital mobilisation towards low carbon transition
  • Develop and further connectivity with both internal and external stakeholders

The assignment of the second rotation is defined 3 months after the start of the programme, taking into account your journey and the dynamics of teams within the ecosystem in relation to sustainable finance issues.

By integrating this program, you will benefit:

  • regular contact with a senior manager from CIB amongst the best experts in sustainability and receive tailored advice.
  • a tailor-made integration process with Graduate from other domain and programme.
  • Usual networking and social opportunities
  • a certified training programme in sustainability with one of our school partners
  • regular invitations to attend events on various topics on sustainable finance

At the end of the 18 months, you will have the opportunity to take a position in the Group in line with your ambitions and aspirations. The experience of this graduate programme and in-service training on sustainable development issues and challenges will be an asset to boost your career!

At BNP Paribas, whatever the Graduate Programme you join, you take part in a immersive journey and receive specific and personalised support, while experiencing a collective adventure of co-development.
