Department Objectives:

Global Markets is BNP Paribas’ capital markets business within the Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB), delivering solutions across asset classes, and industry-leading services for clients including Institutionals, corporates, private banks and retail distribution networks.

Global Markets encompasses seven global business lines; G10 Rates, Equity Derivatives, Forex & Local Markets, Commodity Derivatives, Credit, Prime Solutions & Financing and Primary Markets, helping their franchise of clients find effective ways to raise and invest capital as well as manage their exposure to risk.

Global Markets is made up of over 3,700 staff globally based in EMEA, the Americas and Asia Pacific, with the main trading floors located in London, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior marketers in their transaction origination efforts
  • Provide actives and adequate support during transaction execution
  • Develop financing solutions, draft information memorandums, roadshow presentations and manage data rooms as needed
  • Undertake a lead marketer role with the second tier clients
  • Show appreciation for and understanding of the developing financial regulation and how it affects the business

 

Competencies Required:

  • Show natural affinity with EM client base with relevant CEEMEA languages strongly preferred
  • Excellent academics are essential, applicants must be degree educated from a leading university
  • Previous experience preparing pitching materials, market analytics, credit analysis, cash flow models strongly preferred
  • Previous Debt Capital Markets experience strongly preferred
  • Articulate in presenting
  • Ability to work both as an individual as well as part of the broader team

  • A good appreciation of economics and market dynamics, with enough understanding to present views on market conditions and trends in the context of global economy and Emerging Markets in particular.
  • Business Risks - Understands the market, credit, operational, compliance, legal and reputational risks of his/her activity.  Evidenced as a good sense of risk/return analysis for business areas covered

Understands the market, credit, operational, compliance, legal, regulatory and reputational risks of transactions he/ she managers
