Our Global Banking Graduate Programme provides the ideal opportunity to gain experience in 3 Business lines: Corporate Coverage, Corporate Finance and Financing Solutions. 

During the 18 month opportunity you will enhance your technical and professional skills increasing your knowledge of Banking and laying the foundations for your future career at BNP Paribas.

You will be required to complete 3 rotations of 6 months each in the following business lines:

Corporate Coverage is the area within the bank that manages all of the interactions between the bank and its Corporate Clients.

Corporate Finance department offers advisory services for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity capital markets (ECM) transactions and balance sheet restructuring, combining the expertise across multiple industry groups with a focused international approach.

Financing Solutions is in charge of the origination, structuring, and placement of debt financing as well as related advisory services for Corporates (Corporate Debt Platform), Financial Sponsors (Leveraged Debt Platform), and clients in the Energy, Resources and Infrastructure (ERI), and Real Estate (REF) sectors. 

 

What you will do

Your role will include:

Corporate Banking

  • Exposure to a wide range of clients and projects
  • Exposure to the full range of our business areas and product offering
  • Developing a knowledge of legal documentation and analysing its strength and appropriateness
  • Managing, from an analytical perspective, a portfolio of the Bank’s Corporate Clients
  • Undertaking frequent individual analysis on these clients and submitting these reports to our sanctioning bodies
  • Providing additional insight into the client in order to enhance the marketing efforts of the front line Coverage team


 Corporate Finance

  • Creating and updating databases
  • Assisting in the origination and execution of transactions
  • Exposure to a wide range of clients and projects
  • Assisting in conducting industry research and analysis
  • Preparing pitch books, presentations and memorandums
  • Performing due diligence, reviewing and analysing results of due diligence exercise
  • Financial analysis and valuation by developing quantitative models


Financing Solutions

  • Preparing pitch books in cooperation with various teams across the bank (Coverage, M&A, ECM, Syndicate)
  • Developing and analysing financial models
  • Preparing credit committee memos and managing the internal credit process
  • Executing financing mandates
  • Managing transactions post-closing

  • Strong academic background with a degree from a leading university or similar

  • Excellent spoken and written English are crucial

 

Technical Skills and Qualifications required for the role

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject

Previous related internship or work experience in Financial Services

Good understanding of financial markets

Good knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel in particular) and experience in using investment banking databases a strong advantage (e.g.: Bloomberg, Thomson One Banker, Datastream)
