Sustainability is one of the three pillars of development of the Bank’s GTS 2025 plan.  BNP Paribas’ goal is to accelerate its clients’ sustainability ambitions through forward-looking financing and investing solutions that deliver positive impacts for the environment and society.

 

In the context of the GTS 2025 plan, Global Banking Sustainability Office, EMEA is responsible for leading Global Banking sustainability strategy, and acts act as a coordinator to strengthen the sustainability franchise of Global Banking EMEA by:

1.      Adopting an ESG-offensive stance to support bankers to proactively engage with our clients and roll out ESG commercial roadmaps

2.      Bringing a 360° view on BNP Paribas products, contents, commitment initiatives and trends thus helping to structure a unique value-added proposition

3.      Ensuring the wide adoption and replication of ESG best practices and successes

 

 

Job Purpose

 

The role is to assist senior team members (1 in the UK and 2 in France) in supporting the integration of ESG and sustainability into Coverage and the business dialogue, notably by:

-        Preparing bespoke client meeting presentations for sustainability holistic meetings and/ or advisory

-        Developing sustainability-related peers benchmarking of corporate clients by sector

-        Updating BNPP Sustainability storyline slides, notably on sustainability market trends (e.g. on regulation, investors’ needs)

-        Develop knowledge content on ESG hot topics (e.g. biodiversity, water, circular economy) with a view to link those to commercial solutions, as well as on ESG risks (e.g.physical risk) and new solutions (e.g. plastic credits).

 

Core accountabilities of role

 

·       Support Sustainability Office senior team members with day to day activities

·       Support the creation of ad hoc and generic marketing material on BNPP ESG intelligence and products

·       Provide knowledge content on sustainability trends view with a commercial vision

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

·       Excellent spoken and written English. Additional languages are an advantage

·       Degree from a leading university with an excellent academic record

·       Enthusiasm for sustainability and finance topics

·       High level of autonomy

·       Entrepreneurial spirit and business development attitude

·       Strong analysis and judgement

·       Meticulous accuracy with a keen eye for detail

·       Excellent MS Office tools, including outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills

·       Confident verbal, written communication and networking skills

·       Great organisational, multitasking and time management skills

·       Team player, proactive, independent, enthusiastic self-starter with strong interpersonal skills

 

Start Date: June/July 2024

Length of Internship: 11 months
