Business management intern, RISK function UK Chief of Staff

Support the COS and CRO


The RISK UK Chief of Staff (COS) is hiring a Long Term Intern to support the
smooth running of the RISK UK team.
This is part of the transversal team assisting the COS who in turn supports the
UK Chief Risk Officer (CRO) on day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives as
they relate to people, estate, conduct and innovation across RISK UK. The
work is varied and will evolve according to COS needs.


RISK UK is an independent function ensuring high quality day-to-day
management of financial and non-financial risks. The principal activities of
which is the management of market risk, counterparty credit risk, liquidity risk,
operational risk and risk reporting service solutions.

Manage, Communicate and Change
1. Office Management - tasks include headcount and department financials
reporting, maintaining org charts, recruitment tasks, coordinating events
such as the Christmas party for RISK UK, departmental desk /seating plan
management and being an agile-working champion.


2. Communications - organising internal events such as RISK Talks, town
halls and management committees. Participating in the Charity
Engagement Committee and Social Committee. Managing the RISK UK
Talent programme in partnership with Human Resources.


3. Agent of Change – lead the Innovation charge. Redefine the way we work.
Support the Innovation Champions. Compile presentations to track
progress. Help us collaborate with outside innovators such as universities
and data scientists.


The workingenvironment is important:

The job is based in Marylebone, London. Just west of The City and equidistant
between the Eurostar terminal and the Heathrow Express in Paddington.
We are a close-knit team of three; the Chief of Staff, the head of Risk and
Regulatory Strategy and you ! We collaborate closely with the Strategic
Controls team with a focus on Brexit-type risks.

Someone who has staff management, logistics and project management skills
in equal abundance.
Someone who likes to work across an organisation and fosters innovation.
Are you an MS Office literate graduate with superior communication, Excel and
PowerPoint skills ? Python, Tableau or SharePoint skills in addition is a bonus
Are you more than comfortable working in an English speaking, multicultural,
multifaceted open plan office ?
