BNP Paribas CIB’s Global Markets division offers equity derivatives and commodity derivatives products, indices and funds, as well as financing solutions and an integrated equity brokerage platform. It employs 1,400 front-office professionals operating in three major regions (Europe, America, Asia-Pacific).

Global Markets is organised into seven global business lines (GBL)

G10 Rates, Equity Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and Local Markets, Commodity Derivatives, Credit, Prime Solutions and Financing

 

The Strategic Marketing Team is looking for a Graduate for September 2015

The Marketing team is made up of product   marketing specialists who together cover all the GBL’s. The major team   objectives are:

  • To promote the BNP Paribas global markets   brand image with our target customers around the world, and to play a role in   building the image of the Group by working closely with the Communications   team
  • To help in expanding distribution to our   customer base, where appropriate
  • To enhance our relationship and communication   with our existing clients
  • To promote client awareness of our product   offer
  • To consider the requirements of the regulatory   environment

 

 

 

In a sector that is   constantly evolving, the work of the Marketing & Communication teams includes   the drawing up of a Strategic Marketing Plan aimed at building business, the   implementation of marketing campaigns including, in particular, advertising,   events, direct marketing, educational and promotional seminars and the   writing of multifaceted brochures. This means that all members of the team   must be multi-skilled, with the ability to work and successfully interact   with a wide range of departments and possess a capacity for strategic and   practical thinking.

 

Responsibilities will include:

The role involves the operational production of marketing materials, as well as coordination of initiatives. Responsibilities will include:

Marketing

  • Product marketing: designing and producing promotional materials related to product launches and campaigns
  • Preparation of educational presentations for product and strategy seminars to be held both internally and with clients
  • Working with Events and Communications teams on the execution of product and client marketing campaigns, coordinating and implementing: advertising, press relationships, events, product marketing, direct marketing
  • Contribution to global product marketing launches: key selling points, fact sheets, brochures and web tools for various client segments, in collaboration with Events and Communication team members
  • Efficiently addressing specific client/sales requests for bespoke marketing material, demonstrating flexibility and understanding of business needs.
  • Helping to develop the digital offering made by marketing.

Strategy

  • Monitoring competitive activity and gathering market intelligence.
  • Formulating and agreeing marketing plans and budgets to achieve distribution objective
  • Participating in regular strategic reviews of business status and objectives.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Ensure all marketing documents comply with the Group brand guidelines
  • Comply with all regulatory, contractual and internal authorised frameworks
  • Actively contribute to the risk identification and control framework by recognising new risk indicators, suggesting new procedures, evolution of existing procedures
  • Contribute to minimising risks linked to the business continuity by:
    • Utilising the tools and processes put in place
    • Sharing project status with colleagues
    • Immediately inform line manager of any major operational incidents, specific risks arising or risk to client revenues or Group reputation
    • Immediately inform line manager of any potential problem in particular with regards to regulatory or legal risk

  • Maintain open dialogue and fluid communication with Communication and Events team

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree from a leading University or School
  • Preferred post graduate qualification in finance
  • Experience in a position covering technical/product marketing or communications in equity, commodities and derivative products
  • Experience in both Communications and Capital Markets
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to write and speak accurately, precisely and concisely in perfect English
  • Client focused
  • Ability to process large amounts of information, synthesising and identifying salient points and retaining and sharing information as appropriate
  • Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to deliver simultaneous progress on projects of various nature, complexity and length
  • Excellent team player possessing strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop constructive working relationship with multiple stakeholders
  • Full fluency in English language
  • The position will be based in London, UK.
