Paris – Long Term Internship – Corporate Banking - CTTS - Strategy Analyst

Title and desired start date: CTTS Data Analytics position starting in March 2017.

Corporate Trade and Treasury Solutions – CTTS:

CTTS’ provides large corporate clients with a range of holistic Transaction Banking solutions: Cash Management, Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance and Liquidity and Investment Management. It helps some of the worlds largest multinationals optimise their working capital needs and liquidity structures. CTTS is one of the two constituents of BNP Paribas’ Corporate Bank, which is part of the overarching Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) organisation within the group.

CTTS Strategy:

The CTTS Strategy team is a small unit working closely with management and heads of business on strategic projects of central importance to the development of the business. Our team is split in between Paris, Amsterdam and London and works in coordination with counterparts across the bank (both locally and globally)

Our mission statement is split into three main streams:

-Lead business strategy projects (i.e. Data analytics) 
-Produce and share market intelligence on Transaction Banking 
-Strategic coordination within the Corporate and Institutional Bank and the group

The Data Analytics Internship Position:

The data analyst position will consist of working hand in hand with the CTTS Strategy team and the CIB analytics consulting team. This will involve:

-Mastering relevant analytical and data blending tools (Alteryx, Tableau...) 
-Work on a range of data analytics projects, hand in hand with strategy, analytics and business teams
-Help build analytical tools and systems for internal TB EMEA data analytics 
-Project manage a range of deliverables, working on tight deadlines

The data analytics role will embed you within the business, giving detailed visibility of Transaction Banking products and services, and will involve close interactions with various business teams. Within this role you will also acquire skills in data management, blending and visualisation, from the conception of projects (gathering data) to the eventual analytical output to business teams.

Desired profile:

You have:  

-Proven analytical skills and experience managing data sources and outputs 
-Experience with managing various different projects and producing timely outputs 
-Excellent Excel skills, experience with Tableau and Alteryx a preference 
-Good level of written and spoken English and French

-Highly organised and able to manage several tasks/projects at a time
-Proactive and curious, able to contribute ideas 
-Able to work both autonomously or as a team when needed
-Rigorous, with excellent attention to detail 
-Analytically driven, able to work with large quantities of data

Reporting Line: Reporting to the head of CTTS Strategy based in Paris. Strong interactions with London and Amsterdam team
