The Performance  Management Team is looking   for a 6 months intern starting in September 2015

BNP   Paribas’ Fixed Income business operates in the global interest rate, credit   and currency markets. With a broad range of products and advisory services,   we help our global franchise of clients find effective financing solutions,   and efficient ways to manage their risks and assets. This client base   comprises hundreds of corporations, institutional investors, governments and   supranational organizations.

Main characteristics   of the Global Performance Management Department’s activity:

  • Official provider of Fixed Income information for   revenues, costs, headcount and budgets to CIB   Executive Committee, Fixed Income management and CIB   Finance
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Liaison between Fixed Income business and CIB Finance
  • Initiates and leads the budget process

The intern’s role will be:

  • Daily Reporting of Fixed Income P&L to all stakeholders
  • Analyzing the daily revenues for unusual trends and for accuracy
  • Participating in the maintenance and improvement of the daily revenues reporting systems
  • Participating in the creation of new tools, macros and checks to aid in the automation and streamlining of processes
  • Analysis of flash to final P&L moves at month-ends to explain middle office adjustments.
  • Providing support to business management with ad-hoc historical P&L data and analysis.

  

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be studying towards a Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar degree with an average of 2:1 or above in most recently completed year
  • Proactive and resourceful attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Meticulous and organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel (VBA required)
  • Fluent in English.
