The Marketing, Communications, Events & Digital team has a unique position within BNP Paribas Global Markets. The team is located in the front office trading rooms worldwide, with 40+ staff based in the main hubs of Paris, London, New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Lisbon. The team works across all asset classes and global business lines bringing effective communication, digital and events strategies to serve the best interests of the bank’s clients and the business.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The EMEA communications team is looking for a graduate to join their dynamic team of four, based in London. In a business where every day changes, the tasks of the communications team range from building internal websites to writing press releases; from producing video content and blogs to pitching for industry awards and rankings, from writing editorials to seeking social media opportunities. As a result, we are seeking a graduate who is curious, flexible, hard-working, creative and enthusiastic, with strong writing skills, who will enjoy working in a team environment at the heart of the busy and fast-paced capital markets business.

With a successful network across all business areas of the bank, and from Europe to the Americas and Asia Pacific, the communications team is a great springboard to exploring corporate and institutional banking - its clients, products and services, and the opportunities it affords.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Internal Communications (50%)

  • Ensure Global Markets staff are kept well-informed of news, achievements, awards, business updates, strategy and communications from management
  • Development, creation, implementation, updates and content writing for internal communication channels (websites, videos, SharePoint, newsflashes, digital screens, blogs, town halls, announcements, etc.)
  • Creation of written content for internal communication
  • Internal website creation, content management and updating
  • Liaising with Global Markets staff to detect wide issues and concerns, and identifying internal communication needs
  • Liaising with other communication departments to spread messages to the wider Corporate & Institutional bank (CIB) or the BNP Paribas Group

 

External Communications (50%)

  • Determining key business messages and themes, ensuring these are disseminated through all channels
  • Creation (writing and editing) of all communication content, including website articles & content, announcement emails, speeches, press releases, award pitches, high-level pitch books, talking points, Q&As, etc.
  • Maintaining a strong network with business and industry partners, including stakeholders across Global Markets, our counterparts worldwide, other departments of the bank and external media publications
  • Coordinating on external communications strategies in collaboration with press relations, including drafting press releases, key messages and supporting sales campaigns across EMEA with various communication initiatives

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, media, public relations, journalism, finance or other relevant area.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc) and open to new technology and new media channels (social media, content marketing, etc).
  • Graphic design experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional English writing and editing skills
