ABOUT G10 rates

BNP G 10 rates is the trading entity in charge of market making in G 10 currencies denominated Bonds and derivatives

 

THE ROLE

  • You will be hired into the G 10 rates trading team in Paris. You’ll join a team of 4.
  • You will learn about trading of bonds and derivatives mainly in euro with a focus on money market.
  • You will work on systems and participate in the general digitalization effort of BNPP, coordinating relevant developments with e-book team based in London.
  • You will assist in any in-depth business review performed with a strong focus on assisting decisions for trading and management.
  • You will have frequent interactions with trading, sales force, clients, business line management and the functions and are expecting to develop a strong understanding of risk-management, risk-reward optimization and investor’s base as well as issuers.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Financial Engineering, Finance, Maths, Sciences, Economics, Econometrics or related disciplines
  • Previous related internship or work experience in financial services and/or investment banking
  • Good knowledge of Capital Markets
  • For the trading and structuring desks, programming skills such as C++ or VBA and understanding programming is a plus
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel in particular)
  • Experience in using information systems (Bloomberg, Reuters)
  • Geographical mobility at some point according to BNPP needs
