Graduate Analyst programme 2018 - London Organisation & IT - Support Analyst
LONDON ORGANISATION & IT develop, support and maintain over 60 applications for a wide variety of internal clients, utilising various technologies. The team is spread across London, Mumbai and Montreal. Within the department, a dedicated “Application Production Support” team exists to improve quality of service, security, monitoring and reporting.
Applications supported include Tier 1 corporate banking and finance systems, security systems, governance and compliance. Members of the team work with a wide variety of core technologies (Windows, UNIX, Java, dotNET, Tibco, SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle) and third party systems, and are located in London and Mumbai. Members of the team bring expertise in some technologies/applications, are expected to pick up skills in many others, through mentoring, internal and external training and to propose improvements.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Main contact point to develop and integrate the GENEOS monitoring tool in the LO&IT owned applications
- Requirements gathering, design and implementation of monitoring agents including alert automation
- Requirements gathering, design and implementation of application dashboards for the team and clients
- Liaise with GENEOS internal (BNPP) and external (ITRS) experts
- Documentation
- Training/mentoring other members of the team on the tool
- Release management
- Maintenance
- Suggest constant improvements
Key Contact point for CHAPS incidents and monitoring
- Follow incident and problem management process for CHAPS incidents
- Work with LO&IT CHAPS stakeholders, business analysts and developers.
- Build knowledge database
- Liaise with Paris IT teams to follow up outstanding incidents or problems and suggest improvements on their existing monitoring tools
Building expertise in applications & technologies supported by the team.
Managing issues and requests logged through Service Now and JIRA on LO&IT applications
- Direct problem resolution or bug logging
- Working with developers, business analysts and infrastructure teams – managing application/server access
- Providing daytime and overnight support (by rota)
- Building knowledge database
- Providing input to technical designs
- QA sign off for new application releases
- Perform application releases
Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises
Day to day Support actions:
- Prioritization, resolution, delegation and escalation of user and application queries and issues
- Proactive application and system monitoring
- High degree of communication with users, management, developers and peers
