Work environment :

- Corporate Banking Europe (CBE) is a client relationship unit created in February 2010 following Fortis merger. CBE delivers Flow banking products (vanilla loans, cash management, trade solutions, flow-hedging products, when available factoring, leasing and Investment Solutions products) to European and international corporate clients. CBE lies at the heart of BNP Paribas’ strategy of becoming “the bank for corporate clients in Europe”.

- Within CBE, Transaction Banking Europe (TBE) Cash Management aims to facilitate and develop the Cash Management business in Europe. The department is composed of c. 40 Cash Management Sales located in 18 European countries, complemented by a central team of c. 10 people based in Paris.

- Within TBE Cash Management central team, The European Sales Advisory Team (ESA) looks after the pan -European or complex files – see missions below.

Responsibilities :

The trainee will integrate ESA and will have to assist the team in:

- Answering pan-European RFIs/RFPs (PowerPoint presentation, Excel/Word document,..) ;

- Answering requests for quotation from CBE countries (using BNP Paribas' pricing tool) ;

- Carrying out (quarterly) the reporting on activity growth for the team ;

- Occasionally, the trainee will be asked to produce reports on topics related to the Cash Management business (ie, cost analysis, ...)

Mission # 1 : structures pan-European opportunities :

- Ensures a smooth coordination with the Pilot Cash Management Sales (the originator) in the structuration of the response (client intelligence, commercial strategy) ;

- Is responsible for the answer to the RFI/RFPs ;

- Requests necessary resources in the bank (analyst, implementation, legal, product teams, etc.) ;

- Coordinates between all stake holders - analysts, implementation, product managers, legal, coverage, RB etc ;

- Sets prices of Cash Management products within regional guidelines (for CBE countries) and upon specific validation from regional representatives (for RB and EM countries) ;

- With the support of the analyst, writes the proposal, including an Executive Summary. Review draft versions and is responsible for the final version ;

- Has direct contacts with the client during the sales cycle (workshop, Beauty Parade, Kick of Meeting). In full coordination with pilot the Pilot Cash Management Sales, coordinates the optimal Team for client meetings ;

- Builds and maintains a close relationship with the Pilot Cash Management Officers of CBE ;

- Makes sure the opportunity is properly booked in Client 1st, as well as all client meetings, in coordination with the Pilot cash Management Sales.

Mission # 2 : answers request for quotation for CBE countries :

- Ensures a smooth coordination with RB representatives (originators) ;

- Sets prices within CBE regional guidelines ;

- Books the opportunity in Client 1st.

Profile :

Education & Experience :

- Top tier University and/or Business School ;

- A previous experience in commerce or Corporate Finance would be appreciated ;

Languages :

- Fluency in English is required ;

- Intermediate level of Spanish and/or German would be a plus ;

Technical Skills: Pack Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
