London - Long term internship - Coverage Associate
WHO WE ARE
Corporate Coverage EMEA is in charge of managing (1) the global relationship with corporate clients headquartered in the EMEA region of CIB, (2) the local in-country relationship with subsidiaries of corporate clients, (3) certain regional pan-EMEA relationships with corporate clients headquartered in the APAC or America regions of CIB.
By virtue of its mandate, Corporate Coverage EMEA operates in a rich and diverse ecosystem. Its teams interface and collaborate actively with product partners as well as geographic partners.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Support MNC Relationship Managers (“RMs”) in the day-to-day management of their clients, not limited to:
- Overseeing the KYC process during the on-boarding of new clients and the re-certification of existing clients.
- Facilitating dialogue between RMs and Due Diligence (“DD”) /re-certification teams
- Actively assist RMs in preparing and processing internal KYC documentation
- Where relevant, join RMs in client meetings/calls
- Assist the RMs with maintaining the CRM tools (Client 1st)
- Respond to client queries where relevant
Participate in Coverage/KYC/DD meetings where relevant
- Monthly KYC allocation meeting between Coverage and DD team
- Monthly KYC Committee
- CAC meetings
Responsibility for overdue and upcoming KYC reporting
In coordination with Compliance Officers, share KYC knowledge with RMs
- Actively interact with the DD and Compliance teams to keep abreast of key KYC regulatory evolutions
- To maintain awareness of the team’s portfolio as far as KYC recertification and to support the RMs to ensure compliance with the relevant deadline
- To oversee the reporting produced by DD team and provide updates for the business where required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
- Strong understanding of main KYC regulations and requirements
- Ability to work transversally with different teams
- Organisation skills
- Client centric attitude
- FCA certification to be achieved within six months
