Paris - Long Term internship - Energy & Commodity Finance - Junior Business Analyst

Work environment :

The intern will integrate the Energy & Commodity Finance department of BNP Paribas-CIB in Paris, with a geographical focus on Western Europe and Africa.

Responsibilities :

The intern will work under the supervision of a Senior Business Analyst and will be involved in the analysis of clients active in the trading, refining and distribution of commodities through drafting of credit proposals.

Main tasks include:

-description of client activity and business environment (country and industry) -financial analysis of client’s accounts-counterparty rating and profitability analysis of the transaction-risk assessment of the client/structure

Depending on the workflow and specific needs of the Business Center, the intern could also assist to :

- specific marketing initiatives (drafting pitch)

- specific transversal client/industry/financial reviews as the case may be

Overview of the objectives :

- Knowledge of Energy & Commodities sector and related banking products

- Development of credit analysis skills, sense of risk

- Direct contacts with Front Office and Risk Management

Profile :

Technical Skills :

- Knowledge of financial analysis mandatory

- Fluent in French and English
