Mergers & Acquisitions

Our Corporate Client Financing and Advisory (CCFA) department offers advisory services for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), primary equity capital markets (ECM) transactions and financing solutions, combining the expertise of 5 sector groups with a focused international approach. Working as an intern within the Media & Telecom Industry Group (MTIG), your role will include:


  • Analytical support in the analysis of comparable company financial information including reviewing publicly available financial data and developing trading multiples
  • Analytical support in the analysis of comparable M&A transactions including reviewing publicly available financial data and developing transaction multiples
  • Development of company valuation (Discounted Cash Flow) models
  • Active involvement in the development of marketing materials to current and prospective clients
  • Support of the execution of M&A and ECM mandates
  • Preparing pitch books, presentations and memorandums
  • Completion of research projects including the use of various financial databases
  • Assist other professionals in the day-to-day completion of required corporate finance and other assignments

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • Strong educational background including an excellent academic track record
  • Finance oriented studies/ basic Finance knowledge would be a pre-requisite
  • Good knowledge of accounting, financial and valuation techniques
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Corporate Finance coupled with good presentation skills
  • Previous experience in Finance is a plus (e.g. internship in audit, financing or in mergers and acquisitions)
  • A taste for corporate financial analysis and modelling
  • Demonstrate rigour and reliability for her-his own work (attention to detail)
  • An interest for Media & Telecom is a plus, although not required
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Attend relevant courses to maintain appropriate regulatory, products and technical skills
