About Cash Management:
Cash Management (CM) for corporates is a priority for BNP Paribas and benefits from the direct sponsorship of the group CEO. Recognised as a leading provider of global Cash Management solutions, BNP Paribas offers extensive Cash Management capabilities in 55 countries across the globe and provides state-of-the-art technology, enabling corporate clients to efficiently manage and control their liquidity, payables and receivables wherever they operate. A Cash Management Competence Center (CMCC) based in Paris and Brussels is in charge of product development & strategy.

About ESA team:   
EMEA Sales Advisory (ESA) is a central team based in Paris that is part of the cash management business line within CIB EMEA. It provides advisory to the network of sales across CIB EMEA during all the cash management sales cycle.


Activities:

The main mission of the data management analyst will be to develop concrete data analytics use cases for the benefit of the entire cash management sales community in CIB EMEA, working hand in hand with the data analytics team of the Cash Management Competence Center (CMCC) which is based in Brussels.

This will involve working on a range of data analytics projects in order to contribute building and improving analytical tools and systems. The data management analyst will have to work in a project mode, managing a range of deliverables and working on tight deadlines. First part of the internship will consist of mastering relevant analytical and data blending tools (Alteryx, Tableau...) as well as internal databases and monitoring dashboards.

The Data management analyst will have to work closely with sales people to understand their needs, develop concrete use cases based on data management that serve commercial purposes and also be able to train the sales teams.

Within this role you will also acquire skills in data management, blending and visualisation, from the conception of projects (gathering data) to the eventual analytical output to business teams.


Profile:

  • Proven analytical skills and experience managing data sources and outputs / a previous experience with Tableau and Alteryx is a strong plus
  • Experience with managing various different projects and producing timely outputs: you must be highly organised and able to manage several tasks/projects at a time
  • Ability to work both autonomously or as a team when needed
  • Client oriented / have a commercial mindset
  • Be proactive and curious
  • Be interested in Financial services and their development / a previous experience in corporate banking business is a plus
  • Fluency in English / French
  • Academic record: degree from a leading school (business/engineering) or university equivalent with a specialisation in Data Science

Important information: as the data management team of the CMCC is based in Brussels, the internship shall be able to travel to Belgium on a regular basis (on travel expenses paid by the bank).

 

Reporting Line: Reporting to the head of Business Development Transaction Banking EMEA, with strong interactions with CMCC data management team.
