Paris - Long Term Internship - Global Banking - Energy & Commodity Finance - Junior Analyst

6-month internship starting end August 2018.

Work environment:

The intern will integrate the Specialized Trade Solutions (STS) department (former Energy & Commodity Finance) of BNP Paribas CIB in Paris 19ème.
The department offers expertise on commodity and trade / working capital solutions to corporate clients / traders belonging to the commodity ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Within the STS department and in connection with the Relationship Managers and the Coverage teams, the junior Analyst will be in charge of preparing credit memos based on facilities analysis and assessment (structure, securities, recovery rates, risks, profitability, etc) for our portfolio of clients which are active in the trading, transformation and distribution of commodities. Furthermore, the junior Analyst may have to assist the Relationship Managers with marketing presentation preparation (pitch, market analysis, etc) for business opportunities and also to perform specific transversal client / industry / financial reviews.

The junior Analyst will work indistinctly on the 3 STS sectors: Energy, Metal & Mining and Agribusiness and on the whole set of STS products: Borrowing Base facilities, Transactional financing, Inventory financing, payment and performance risk guarantees.

The junior Analyst will be part of a team of three people and report to the deputy of the Head of the STS teams in Paris.
