ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Markets – Institutional Sales Intern will help the global sales team drive this multi-billion euro business forward to take BNP Paribas to the next level. You will be a vital member of the global team seeking to grow the revenues with our institutional clients. This role will require someone who has a passion for the financial markets and a strong work ethic to accomplish the key objectives for the team. Working in the fast-paced environment of the trading floor, you must be knowledgeable about the sales, trading and client dynamics and be able to quickly assimilate information to provide well thought out presentations and analytical analysis to senior managers.

The GM Institutional Sales intern’s primary role is to provide business management and strategy support for the GM Institutional Sales Executive Committee, headed by Talbot Stark.

 

Responsibilities & Objectives

The role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Represent GM Institutional Sales when liaising with GM Global Business Lines (GBL), local X-Asset COO Office and other internal business partners. Act as a key contact point where necessary.

 

Presentations:

Support senior sales management & members of the COO team in the production and collation of material for a number of Management forums, e.g.

  • Global Institutional Sales Committee
  • EMEA Sales Management Meeting
  • GM Client Board
  • GM Sales Global COO Committee

 

MIS:

Production and verification of key Sales management information using Tableau Self-Service and other sources, as well as monitoring and verification of key sales initiatives, e.g.

  • Team Selling
  • Global Selling
  • Ad-hoc reporting

Find opportunities to automate and lever off-shore resources where possible.

Analytical Tools:

  • Develop analytical tools to support management decisions. Liaise with other regions to identify similar tools and roll out globally
  • GM Sales Performance scorecard
  • Ad-hoc

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • Previous related internship or work experience in consulting, strategic development, financial services and/or investment banking
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint particularly
  • Strong spoken and written fluency in English, additional languages being a bonus
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships across a number of functions
