VIE contract in New York, M&A Team

Advisory Americas delivers advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, primary and secondary equity capital markets transactions as well as equity private placements. The team includes over 90 bankers, located in New York, San Francisco, Bogota, Santiago de Chile, Mexico City and São Paulo. Within M&A North America, the team is organized along seven primary industry groups: Chemicals, Materials / Minerals / Mining, Power & Utilities, General Industrials, Financial Institutions, Consumer, and Tech / Media / Telecom. Within M&A Latin America, the team is organized geographically along four regions: Brazil, Mexico, Andean Region and Southern Cone and covers all industries. Our Equity Capital Markets team operates out of New York and executes transactions in all industries. It covers both North and Latin America. Finally, Private Placement Equity provides advisory services for all BNPP clients in the Americas.

Advisory Americas' continued growth depends on the contributions of ambitious junior bankers to support its transaction execution and marketing activities. The analyst will be part of the North America execution group and will gain invaluable experience supporting all sector teams in both deal execution and marketing initiatives. 

The VIE will have the following main responsibilities:
• Assist on the marketing and execution of M&A transactions across multiple sectors in the North America region
• Prepare and produce marketing materials
• Build detailed financial models, including proprietary models and financial analysis
• Perform business valuations utilizing public market and M&A transaction multiples and discounted cash flow/LBO valuation methodologies
• Perform industry and company specific research, including maintenance of KPI databases
•  Support due diligence process in accordance with BNP Paribas’ standards
• Provide multidirectional support as assigned

As an integral part to the Advisory North America team, the VIE will gain unique and highly relevant, hands-on experience in the full cycle of M&A projects.

Specifically, the VIE will have the opportunity to:
- Familiarize him/herself with the key concepts of corporate finance
- Learn to analyze in detail financial information for companies and comparable companies
- Receive first-hand experience with developing and applying complex financial models
- Apply the full suite of valuation techniques, including DCF, LBO, comparable company and comparable transaction valuation techniques, as well as sector-specific ones
- Get a high-level understanding of various sectors, their environment and key drivers and valuation concepts
- Experience the full cycle of M&A projects


Profile :

Master Degree Graduate
Prior internship experience in an investment banking and/or private equity environment
Interest in pursuing an investment banking career
Fluency in English
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
Highly motivated team player and charge-taker
Excellent oral and written communication skills
