Sectors covered by ERI:
- Power & Renewables: onshore wind, offshore wind, solar PV, conventional power generation
- Infrastructure: regulated utilities, transportation (roads, airports, ports), social and environmental infrastructure
- Metals & Mining: from primary metals to semi-processed downstream products in the base metals, precious, steel and diversified subsectors
- Mid and Downstream Oil & Gas: LNG, oil and gas transportation, oil and gas storage, petrochemicals, refineries
- Upstream Oil & Gas: oil and gas production
Scope of ERI transactions:
- ERI transactions can cover the construction or development of a new asset (greenfield), the upgrade and/or expansion of existing assets (brownfield), the acquisition of existing assets, working capital and general corporate purposes, or any refinancing of the above
- Debt financing solutions structured and executed by ERI include, inter alia, project financing, reserved-based lending, pre-export financing and corporate debt. ERI has also coverage responsibility for certain clients

Responsibilities
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
The intern will be part of the ERI Transaction team, focusing on new transactions. Responsibilities of the selected intern(s) would include:
- Supporting the execution of new transactions, including:
- Reviewing and/or developing cash flow models
- Preparing certain sections of the credit papers (in particular: overview of the project and key parties, economic and financial analysis) and deliverables to the clients
- Supporting the “Know your Customer” client on-boarding process
- Supporting the origination of new transactions, including:
- Assisting in the preparation of commercial proposals or general presentations to clients (incl. maintaining / developing the marketing tools)
- Assisting in the assessment of the profitability of new transactions
- Performing some market research or early origination work
- Assisting in transversal tasks undertaken by the ERI Transaction team
Examples of recent transactions executed by ERI:
- Refinancing of a gas-fired power plant, an onshore LNG regasification plant and a floating storage unit in Malta (Adviser & Arranger)
- Financing of a solar PV project in the United Arab Emirates (Arranger)
- Financing of a greenfield offshore wind farm in the UK (Arranger)
- Financing of optic fibre networks in Italy (Arranger)
- Financing of a greenfield floating LNG plant in Africa (Arranger)
- Refinancing of existing corporate loans of a fast growing, diversified mining group listed in Canada with mining assets located in Africa, Europe and Latin America (Arranger)
- Financing certain Norwegian operated assets sold by ExxonMobil for a Norwegian independent company (Sole underwriter)

- Interact with other departments of the Bank (e.g. Global Markets, Coverage, Compliance)

Profile
CV and Cover Letter in English mandatory
Conditions
- Students must be in their penultimate/gap year (“stage de césure”) or in their last year (“stage de fin d’études”)
- For last year students, internship shall be mandatory as part of their education track.
- An internship agreement (“convention de stage”) is mandatory
Profile, Experience & Skills
- Top tier schools and universities (including “Grandes Ecoles d’Ingénieurs”, “Grandes Ecoles de Commerce”, Sciences Po Paris)
- Non-French students are welcome
- First experience in investment banking is strongly welcome
Languages
- Fluency in English is required
- Other languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, German, Portuguese…) are welcome
Technical Skills
- Corporate finance fundamentals (incl. cash flow analysis)
- Modelling capabilities (Excel, VBA) are a plus
Soft Skills
- Team working spirit – ability to work in and adapt to multicultural environments
- Organizational skills – ability to set priorities, plan actions and work methodically
