Within Client Management Operations of BNP Paribas CIB, the Due Diligence team’s responsibility is to onboard new clients and recertify existing ones within the framework of the CIB KYC/AML Policy.

Due Diligence is a cornerstone of the Bank’s business development strategy, as it aims at efficiently addressing the growing commercial on-boarding needs of Front Office (Global Markets and Corporate Banking teams), while protecting the interests of the Bank and abiding by local and global KYC regulations.

As such, this growing team interacts very closely with the Front Office Corporate and Institutional Coverage, and Global Markets teams, as well as the Compliance Department and is key to the success of the Bank in a complex and challenging regulatory environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Working within a Due Diligence KYC team to facilitate and provide a complete transversal off–boarding service for CIB UK clients. Producing client risk assessments, client profiles, due diligence analyses, awarding a risk rating where appropriate and analyzing BNPP clients’ activity to facilitate and ensure a full off-boarding across all business lines and across all systems of the Bank whenever the relationship with the client needs to be exited. Also providing feedback and escalating issues to the appropriate support functions: Front Office Corporate and Institutional Coverage, Global Markets teams, as well as Compliance Department.

Main tasks

  • Support and assist Team Lead and Head of Due Diligence in preparing off-boarding committees
  • Ensure that on a best effort basis, evidence of each client/customer’s identity is collected in accordance with the current account off-boarding procedures
  • Ensure GCARS (electronic filing system) input for all accounts under the scope
  • Ensure that all new requests are logged and monitored accordingly until the full closure of the relationship
  • Interact with Front Office team to follow up on outstanding requests
  • Answer all account queries and ensure team inbox is cleared daily
  • Escalate issues to Team Lead when required
