Main duties & responsibilities
Our Corporate Finance department offers advisory services for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), primary Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions and balance sheet restructuring, combining the expertise across 9 sector groups with a focused international approach.
The Equity Capital Markets team in London originates and executes IPOs, Rights Issues, Placements and Equity-Linked products for clients in UK, Germany-Austria-Switzerland, Nordic region, Netherlands Belgium, Spain, Portugal and Italy. As an Intern you will work on all products and regions as described above.
Main tasks will include:
- Working on presentations and related sections – pitching and transaction material - - Being actively involved in origination and execution of transactions
- Research and analysis for potential transaction opportunities
- Taking on responsibility for market updates to clients
- Participation in internal ECM meetings
- Maintenance of internal databases
- Daily review of financial newspapers and current events to identify new issues and market trends
Requirements for the role
The Ideal candidate will be studying an Economics, Finance or mathematical Undergraduate or Master’s Degree.
You will have a genuine interest and knowledge of financial markets and products as well as strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
You should also have a hard working profile and be able to cope with pressure.
Excellent language skills in English and an additional European language will be an advantage (especially German, Spanish, Nordic, Dutch).
A good knowledge of Microsoft Office is crucial to this position.
