Paris - Long term internship - Corporate Banking - Asset Finance – Shipping & Aircraft - Credit Analyst

Work environment :
Asset Finance Credit Analyst for Shipping & Aircraft. The existing staff of Senior Analysts dedicated to these Asset Finance transactions makes recommendations on each file (about 1.000/year) to BNPP Credit Committee. The team receives Credit Proposals from worldwide originators, analyses them and presents them to the Credit Committee.
Responsibilities :
The Intern/Trainee Staff will act as a back-up of Senior Analysts (mostly for our Shipping & Aircraft Senior Analyst). Major tasks will be:
• Checking that all elements which are necessary to reach a decision have been gathered, and gathering missing ones as needed.
• Participating to the challenging analysis done for each file, i.e. challenging weak points and identifying mitigants.
• Ensuring that Credit Proposals contents are complete, and easening their process.
• Assisting Senior Analysts on various tasks, depending on the team’s workload/agenda.
Job’s contribution :
The Intern/Trainee Staff will:
• Be exposed to a variety of situations and decision making cases, on a number of business lines and regions.
• Get to meet a vast number of originating, structuring, and decision making senior staff and managers.
• Go through a steep learning curve of BNPP’s decision making process and risk management.
• Potentially participate to Credit Committees, once up to speed, to replace Senior Analysts being on trip or leave.
Profile :
Languages: fluency in French and English
A prior internship as an analyst in a Bank is a plus.
Familiar with financial Analysis.
Personal skills: finesse, tactful behavior, common sense, sorting out priorities, autonomy, speech delivery skills, are all required.
