ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Trading Risk Strategy team (TRS) is a front-office transversal team covering the analysis of risks, expected returns and capital costs for all Global Business Lines (equities, credit, rates, fx, commodities) now gathered into the new Global Markets (GM) organization. TRS is also in charge of managing the Global Hedging trading activity which aims at mitigating the Value-at-Risk of Global Markets through dedicated hedges.
Your role as an intern will be split in two. First, as a Trading Assistant it will include:
- Assisting on a daily-basis the head trader in the management of the different books
- Overseeing and improving all existing tools used by the head trader notably the cross-asset dashboard monitoring expected returns and risks of 500+ strategies
Second, as a Risk-Tool Developer:
- Leading development of new Credit Risk-Analysis tools designed to better identify and quantify the risks carried by the Credit business line.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
- Strong academic track record in Science/Finance (French top-engineering School or renowned UK/US universities)
- Sharp skills in computer science and strong appetite for developing new tools or improving existing code
- First experience in Finance strongly advised
- Fluency in written and spoken English;
- Good communication skills
