ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The power team is part of BNP Paribas’s Energy and Infrastructure Group. We specialise in advising on, and lending to, major projects in the power sector in Europe, including renewable, conventional and nuclear energy projects. We are one of the leading banks in this market.

Your role as an intern will include:

• Financial analysis, including creating and manipulating complex financial models
• Analysing the risks affecting major energy projects
• Reviewing due diligence
• Undertaking industry research
• Preparing pitch books and other marketing materials
• Assisting in the preparation of credit proposals
• Monitoring existing loans

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

• Strong academic track record
• Fluency in written and spoken English; other European languages an advantage
• Genuine interest in the energy sector
• Familiarity with financial modelling
• Prior experience of the energy or finance sectors is an advantage, but not essential
• Ability to think analytically and demonstrate attention to detail
• Good communication skills
