London - Long term internship - FX Sales Desk

What you’ll do

You will be hired into the FX sales desk working directly with the Co-Head of  FX & Commodities Sales EMEA

The role

You will assist the FX Sales desk covering Corporate clients in different tasks such as:

• Price OTC derivatives (FX Spot, Forward, Swap, Vanilla Options and Structured products)
• Write daily newsletters about FX, market news, economic notes etc
• Assist in the organization of client meetings and seminars on high-level themes
• Monthly reporting of revenues, volumes and hit ratios
• Resolve day-to-day payment issues with the back-office on specific trades

What we’re looking for

• Student preferably in Master 1 or Master 2 in Finance/Financial markets
• Proactive and enthusiastic self-starter
• Strong mathematical, analytical & quantitative skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Team player
• Excellent spoken and written English are crucial and other languages are a definite advantage in this field as you will ideally converse with your clients in their native language.

• Consider the implications of your actions on colleagues, partners and clients before making decisions
• Escalate issues to your manager when unsure
