Context and Challenges of the job:

Leveraged Debt Platform (LDP) is a leading arranger in the European leveraged buy-out (LBO) market. The business provides highly leveraged financing to companies under private equity ownership.

The deals we finance include leveraged buy-outs and further strategic events including add-on acquisitions and recapitalizations. Our clients are leading private equity funds. The Frankfurt-based Portfolio Management team covers companies based in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.


LDP is part of Specialised Finance Europe belonging to Corporate & Institutional Banking.

Main activities :

*You will join the Leveraged Debt Platform team based in Frankfurt as an Analyst and report to the local senior members of the team.  

*As an analyst you will be involved primarily with financial and risk analysis of companies in the LDP portfolio. You will run financial models, complete financial and credit analysis, sector research, write credit papers and annual reviews, and learn how LBO transactions work and are structured. This requires strong  analytical, quantitative and reasoning skills.

*You will also be asked to assist portfolio managers with the preparation of analysis to back the financing of various strategic events taking place during the lifetime of an LBO (refinancings, dividend recaps, amend and extends, smaller or larger restructurings). The job requires good organisation skills and ability to take initiatives.

*We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active person with strong analytical and communication skills. Strong oral and written skills in English are a must, and it is advisable to have some German knowledge. Previous experience in a corporate banking, corporate finance or project finance environment, ideally exposed to corporate credit or corporate finance, is considered an advantage.
