ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

BNP Paribas CIB has made client relations the cornerstone of its strategy, with the primary aim of developing long-term relationships with our clients and meeting all their needs by making available the Bank’s entire product range. Coverage is the main player in fulfilling this strategy. We act as the face of the organisation, effectively building strong relationships with our Clients and coordinating product teams’ approach to maximise cross-selling. The Coverage team works closely together with all business lines to develop ideas and design solutions that will best suit our corporate clients’ needs.

Working as an intern within Coverage, you will support the relationship managers as they deal with large (mainly FTSE 100 and FTSE 250) corporate clients of the bank.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in identifying business opportunities with clients
  • Conducting deal and client profitability analysis
  • Preparing bespoke marketing pitches
  • Carrying out in-depth research on specific sectors
  • Contributing to the preparation of credit analysis and relationship memos to support the annual review and credit lines requests
  • Collecting market data and maintaining an up-to-date database
  • On-boarding of new clients and providing support in the execution of the ‘Know Your Client’ due diligence
  • Interacting with the Legal Department on documentation

 

WE’RE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING

  • Strong academic record
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of initiative and drive
  • Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel & Powerpoint)
  • Fluency in English

 

CONDUCT

  • Be a role model, supporting and fostering a culture of good Conduct
  • Own and be accountable for Conduct and Conduct Risks within your business mandate while considering the Conduct implications of each decision
  • Be transparent, notably with your manager, about Conduct risks and issues you deal with. When unsure of right decision, escalate the decision to management for guidance
  • Contribute to the identification of existing and new sources of Conduct risks in your business mandate and indicators to track these
  • Attend relevant courses to maintain appropriate regulatory, products and technical skills
