VIE position for an initial duration of 18 months starting in August

Work Environment :

Agency mandate consists of being an efficient interface among different stakeholders within Syndicated deals: Front-Office (“métiers”), Back-Office (also Middle-Office), Borrowers (and Guarantors), Lenders (i.e., Banks, Fund Managers) and other external participants (legal or other technical advisors).

Agency scope of work is mainly focused on both structured-finance deals (Leveraged Finance, Project Finance, Media & Telecom Finance, etc) but it also covers pure corporate lending or other activities (i.e GTS)

Agency role has to be understood within the following triple-fold target:

   1. Full mitigation of any operational or reputational risk.

   2. Management of the ongoing tasks for any deal and delivery of added value service to both customers and lenders.

   3. Regular & closer relationship which may allow:

     a) Anticipation on risk deterioration.

     b) Cross-selling opportunities.

     c) Joint pitching when necessary for Front Office.

Within this overall framework, there is an specific team in Spain, covering the Iberia area (Spain and Portugal).

Main activities :

The VIE position will be in charge of being part of the local team, providing assistance in almost all the underlying tasks, namely

• Management of current portfolio within the Agency scope.

   o Management of information requirements (i.e. reporting) and other contractual obligations.

   o Management of covenants.

   o Management of Security Package.

   o Re-structuration(s)’ coordination and organization.

   o Management of Waivers.

   o Management & settlement of transfers of participations among Lenders (within the secondary loan market).

   o Documentation review.

   o Adaptation to new practices.

   o Analysis & action on unplanned situations.

   o Detection of alerting signs.

   o Management of priorities.

   o Management of regular aspects such as reporting, covenants’ compliance, etc

• Management of preparation, closing & funding of new deals.

   o Approach to new deals (quotes, suggestions).

   o Documentation check-out and review.

   o Interface with Business Line and Back Office.

   o Support to both Business Line and Back Office

   o Closing tasks (including prior and post).

   o Regular tasks.

• Decision abilities: operational aspects of the position involve practical decisions.

• Relationship skills (Front Officers, Borrower/sponsor and other Lenders at high level contacts).

• Stress management : regular very tight and complex deal closings.

• Team/project working (work in pairs and teams, extensive transversal knowhow management).
