THE ROLE

The Strategic Marketing team work closely together within BNP Paribas Global Markets.

The main objective of the Strategic Marketing Team is to support the trading floor in their distribution efforts by creating compliant and clear financial promotions and marketing materials in different formats (PowerPoint, video, website, e-mail), disseminating information about their activities and helping to position products and strategies to suit our different client types; institutional, corporate and retail.

The role of Marketing is constantly changing. Our responsibilities are both strategic and operational “hands-on”. Our ability to work closely with front office sales, trading, research and structuring staff, as well as all support teams is critical.

The Global Markets Marketing team is based in London and is supported by team members in offshore platforms (Lisbon & Mumbai). We work in close coordination and collaboration with the other Marketing & Communication team members within the EMEA region (Paris, London etc.) as well as in other GM regions (Americas and Asia Pacific).

We are looking for a multi-skilled, highly numerate, creative and adaptable candidate who will be based in our London office.

 

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Product Marketing: designing and producing marketing presentational materials for institutional, corporate and retail clients; (Pitches, Brochures etc.). Materials are presented as PowerPoints, videos, animated videos, web pages and brochures. Materials are almost always based on complex financial products or strategies.
  • Management of Marketing Platforms: Managing the design, development, validation, publication and communication of marketing materials and campaigns via our digital platforms (websites, Sharepoint, etc.)
  • Contributing to the Digital Effort: Helping the team improve the marketing deliverables by adding digital formats to the offering and strengthening the team’s usage of digital platforms.
  • Educational Materials: Working with Sales and Structuring colleagues on the preparation of educational presentations and marketing material for financial products, strategy and seminars both internally and with clients, in collaboration with Sales, Structuring and Marketing team members from other platforms
  • Updating Regular Publications: Keeping performance records such as fund performance, financial markets or product performance and pricing up-to-date in publications and releasing as necessary.
  • Comply with Regulations: Always preparing high quality marketing presentations in line with all legal and compliance requirements

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education Background

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in finance, economics, marketing, communications, or other relevant area.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and open to new technology and new media channels (social media, content marketing etc).
  • Graphic design experience and flair
  • Exceptional English writing and editing skills
  • Preferred experience in a front office role to prove well-developed technical ability in terms of financial product knowledge and understanding.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strongly numerate and preferred knowledge of finance and financial products.
  • Perfect fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Digital acumen and creative flair (web design, SharePoint, Adobe suite, filming and editing simple video etc.).
  • Ability to distil complex financial products into clear simple presentations.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite and comfort with databases (Bloomberg) are a plus.
  • Very strong attention to detail and ability to handle and respect multiple tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with business partners in on-boarding new projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Clearly exhibited analytical, logical and decision making capabilities.
  • Any experience in investment banking, graphic design or marketing is an advantage.
