London - Long-term internship - Business Management in Quantitative Department
WHO WE ARE
The Quantitative Research is a cross asset team that designs, researches and builds innovative financial models. It is on the critical path of the majority of key Front Office strategic projects underpinning Global Markets innovative activity.
The Data and AI Quant Lab is part of Quantitative Research and is responsible for building the next generation of Data Intelligence and Language Understanding products and solutions used across Global Markets. The Lab team works on projects using the latest techniques in data mining, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing for the benefit of Global Markets.
The Global Head of Quant Research and the Data and AI Lab is looking for a long term intern to support him in all of his daily activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to see how to manage large scale innovative projects in the capital markets industry and take part in a wide range of management responsibilities!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To work with the group Global Head and the management team on a range of topics:
- Business development: development of the business strategy, monitoring of partnerships with fintech and academia, hiring strategy for UK and French universities, overall governance with the rest of Global Markets and the BNPP group, preparation of communication and Town halls;
- Data reporting and analysis: ongoing improvement of data reporting tools, for both internal and external use;
- Any mission that participates in the development of the Quant team and the Lab, in particular those that the trainee may suggest and conduct in full autonomy.
ROLE COMPETENCIES
Who are we looking for?
- A student completing a top-ranked business school course with a keen interest in quantitative topics (strong interest or background in Maths /Physics or Computer Science, or Artificial Intelligence is not a prerequisite but would be a plus);
- a good knowledge of data analysis & powerpoint presentations;
- English and French fluent
