DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

As a Group ALM Treasury (‘ALMT’) department, Global Markets ALMT (‘GMAT’) team is responsible for Global Markets’ assets and liabilities analysis, setting internal rules, defining fund transfer pricing, operationally managing Global Markets liquidity and monitoring liquidity indicators in order to minimize liquidity risks and costs by giving the right incentives to the business across regions. GMAT operates within the Group ALCO designed framework.

 

GMAT mandates within Global Markets (‘GM’):

  • Monitoring GM liquidity: balance sheet, funding and liquidity indicators.
  • Defining the Liquidity transfer price: set the GM internal FTP to steer the balance sheet and facilitate business.
  • Defining the GM/ALMT operational framework such as local funding rules, cut-off time, intraday liquidity, cash clearing, cash consumption limits.
  • Analysing GM funding-related issues to be submitted to Group ALCO

 

GMAT is organized in two teams in Paris and London interacting with GM Global Business Lines (‘GBL’) and ALMT, with regional correspondents in Asia, Brussels and the US.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Responsibilities

 

As a member of GMAT, you will participate to:

  • Global Markets' Liquidity risk analysis:
    • analysing, monitoring and invoicing Liquidity within Global Markets, in liaison with the various GBLs and regions/entities
    • defining GM funding framework by the Group, in cooperation with Group ALM Treasury, Risk and Finance
    • representing ALM Treasury to GM TACs/NACs
    • contributing to the Global Markets Liquidity Committee, GM committees and Group ALCOs
  • Global Markets' contribution to the Group Liquidity economic and regulatory indicators:
    • consolidating and explaining GM contribution to the Group LCR, NSFR, Liquidity Gap, Stress Test, Debt issuances...
    • participating to Group indicators' implementation, from their methodological definition to the coordination of IT systems evolutions required to produce them
  • Monitoring of the Interest Rate Risk in Global Markets' Banking Books:
    • contributing to the Group IRRBB indicators
    • implementing the procedures and tools required to monitor IRRBB within GM
  • Operational Funding of Global Markets' entities and portfolios:
    • applying the Group policies for intra-Group pricing
    • contributing to the definition of GMAT operating mandate
    • ensuring effective communication with GM GBLs and ALM Treasury operational desks

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the exchange of information with CIB Corporate ALMT and BP2S ALMT to ensure consistent approaches within CIB
  • Contribute to the understanding of Global Markets activities within ALM Treasury

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • Advanced knowledge in finance and derivatives.
  • EXCEL/Reuters advanced level
  • Strong IT background
  • Fluent in English
