Benefits of the internship :

Genuine investment banking experience

Interning at MTF, your experience will be as close as possible to that of a first-year analyst. You will be given responsibility to work autonomously on specific tasks and contribute to projects as part of the broader deal team. You will deepen your financial experience and develop modeling and credit analysis skills. Our aim is to give you a real experience in the investment banking world and thus provide you with the necessary information to decide whether this sector, or even BNP Paribas, is a place where you would like to start your professional career.

Exposure to senior professionals

We seek to maximize your exposure to more senior analysts and associates, whilst ensuring you are able to learn from them. Our interns regularly work on tasks directly with our Managing Directors and senior employees, for example to conduct in-depth research on a particular topic and provide briefing materials as part of meeting preparation. As part of our team, your desk will be located in the analysts and associates open space, enabling you to actively participate in the daily life of the team.

Variety of sectors and situations

The scope of our team is vast enough to provide you with exposure to various sectors, such as the mobile, internet, TV or advertising markets, to name a few. All these are driven by different dynamics and are constantly changing to adapt to the economic environment and technology evolutions, which makes them very interesting to follow. This is particularly true in the current European telecom market, which has started to consolidate in several countries but still encompasses 100+ operators (vs. 10- in the US, for example). This process should generate exciting business opportunities and other jumbo transactions such as the recent acquisition of SFR by Numericable in France.

You will be given the opportunity to work on companies in diverse geographies and at different stages of development. We believe this model allows you to gain strong experience without being “pigeonholed” into a specific sector or financial product type.

Experience in a leading financing house

BNP Paribas’ Media & Telecom Finance team is a top-tier financing team in Europe. BNP Paribas was awarded “Telecom Bank of the Year 2013” by Telecomfinance, and ranked number 1 in the EMEA Media & Telecom syndicated loans leagues tables in 2013 by Dealogic.
