THE ROLE
The Research Graduate Programme is a 12 month rotational programme where you will conduct 3 x 4 month rotations, the majority of which will be within Research. One of your rotations may be outside this, within another area but still within Global Markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Support the research team by conducting analysis of a wide variety of economies, financial markets , as well as political developments
-Assist in the development of new research and modelling tools
-Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on global markets
-Carry out deep-dive research on a variety of countries/asset classes
-Draft presentations, research notes and responses to client questions
-Generate trading strategies
-Present macroeconomic and market views and/or trading strategies to internal and external clients clearly and effectively
 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
-Excellent academic qualifications.

-Strong interest in macroeconomics and forecasting

-Good quantitative background (knowledge of basics statistic and econometric modelling)

-Strong team spirit, enthusiasm and interpersonal skills

-Strong written and oral skills

-Ability to communicate ideas clearly and engagingly to different audiences

-Attention to detail and ability to work consistently to a high standard

-Strong organisational and time management skills

-Methodical and innovative thinker

-Strong drive to exceed expectations and take initiative

-Programming skills in Matlab, R or Eviews an advantage

-Proficient with MS Office tools, Excel and VBA

-Adaptable, diligent, rigorous and tough minded

-Capacity to multi-task

-Fluent English; additional languages a definite advantage

-Methodical and innovative thinker

-Strong drive to exceed expectations and take initiative

-Excellent communication, both written and verbal

-Excellent networking ability

-Strong organisational and time management skills

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
-Excellent academic background

-Strong interest in Capital Markets

-Proficient with Ms Office tools, Excel

-Strong organisational and time management skills

-Additional language skills are an advantage.
